Boone Gorges to keynote at BuddyCamp!

We have hinted that at least one of the BuddyCamp core contributors would be attending and presenting at BuddyCamp Vancouver.

Today, we are very pleased to announce that Boone Gorges will be making the trek from New York to Vancouver to be a keynote speaker on Sunday, Oct. 14th and will be leading the BuddyCamp Hack Day on Monday, Oct. 15th!

Boone grew up in Appleton, WI and attended Cornell College and the CUNY Graduate Center. He now lives in Brooklyn, NY.

Boone develops plugins for WordPress, is a committing developer for the BuddyPress project, and is the lead developer for the CUNY Academic Commons and for Anthologize.

Boone has been a BuddyPress fixture and has written so many cool and widely-used BuddyPress and WordPress plugins we could easily have a “BooneCamp”. We are honored to have him sharing his knowledge and helping others in the BuddyPress community at BuddyCamp Vancouver!

We have been getting many excellent speaker proposals and will soon be announcing some more speakers. The full speaker list and agenda should be ready by Sept. 22nd. Stay posted!

It’s not too late to submit a speaker proposal, we have a few slots left.
